this knitting stuff is harder than I thought. I started just by practicing the different stitches. That part went ok. I started to knit my first project, a scarf. Well everything was going good. It looked like it was going to be a scarf. Then I realized it was going to be a very small scarf. I had started by using the wrong weight of yarn. I was using a worsted weight yarn and was supposed to be using a chunky yarn. Oh well, I guess I will just start my next project.

Learning to knit

Winter is on its way and I have been looking for a new hobby. A hobby that will keep me home and inside during the cold and snowy winter. So, why not learn a hobby that will let me make things that will help keep my family warm. Knitting. I went out and bought a couple books to teach myself the craft. Yarn and knitting needles were also purchased. I have done some cross-stitch before, but this is nothing like that. I have a feeling that cross-stitch is a lot easier to do. What have I got myself into? It is time to find out.
